Dr. Patel is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and has special expertise in lasers, skin cancer surgery and cosmetic procedures. She serves as faculty and teaches her techniques to physicians at laser courses. Dr. Patel is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. Her other memberships include the American Board of Laser Surgery and the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and serves on staff at St. John's and the Daniel Freeman hospitals. Nita Patel, M.D. has authored and lectured on various topics in the field of dermatology. Her special interest over the past years has been consulting and working with the latest technologies in the field of lasers. This has included conducting studies on wrinkle reduction and acne scarring using Nite laser, a non-ablative laser for collagen rejuvenation. Dr. Patel has presented her work both in the United States and internationally.
